How often to clean a '.22 Can' ?

you are supposed to clean .22 cans? my outback has never to my knowledge been cleaned.

The Pilot does not come apart for cleaning - how are you cleaning it?

I clean my aac pilot with a pistol rod, 30 cal brass brush, and soap and water, its unreal how much black **** will come out of a .22 can

If your can doesn't come apart, you cant clean the lead out of it.
I pull mine apart every 500 rounds and scrape the lead off everything. If I wait much longer, its very hard to get apart.

I have seen the insides of cans that don't come apart after about 10,000-15,000 rounds and they are pretty much blocks of lead with no baffles left in them. You have to send them back to the manufacturer to have them cleaned.
