I'm thinking about getting into the sound suppression club. I'm looking at selling my Ruger rimfire pistol to pay for a pre-threaded model of some other brand. Which models do people recommend the most? I like the Sig Mosquito and have shot a suppressed model but I don't want to buy a separate 1/2 x 28 adapter. I'm not a big fan of the Walther P22 because it's so small. So, what do you guys think? Thanks.

I like the S+W 422, 622, 2206 models, still require an adapter but a nice shooting pistol that can be had for under $300.

Check reviews on the Mosquito, may change your mind as they seem to be finicky/problematic.....

The best pre-threaded .22 pistol would be the Browning Buckmark Whisper, which is an exclusive of Lipsey's http://lipseys.com/itemdetail.aspx?itemno=BR051-464490&items=exclusives

It's far superior to the Sig or Walther and requires no adapter. Lipsey's doesn't currently show a price. That may mean it's out of stock, but you can find them at retail dealers and on Gunbroker.

Or he could just skip the whole pre-threaded track and get a Curtis Higgins Ruger.... :)

Just so the OP knows.. Lipseys (to my knowledge) only sells to licensed dealers. You'd have to find a dealer to order you one or find one in a store.
