2 hours and 15 min for snow closed ticker

I was watching CBS tonight in OKC and was watching the snow closing ticker running on the bottom of the screen. It took 2 hours and 15 minutes for their snow closing ticker to run completely from A-Z. Part of it was the shear number of closings, but a lot was from wasted space by not using abbreviations. Every use of Wednesday was spelled out instead of using Wed. It was to the point that their listing was ineffective and annoying.

A great deal of the Cancellations are obvious and don't need to be stated, but I think people just want to advertise on the ticker, lol.

There's one called Cowboy Driving I think and it showed about 12 towns it was cancelled in.
I was thinking maybe they could have just said they were all closed in one post instead each one individually.

Uh...you start watching NCIS at 7pm and see the listing starting in the A's...by the end of the show you are seeing H's listed...start watching NCIS Los Angeles...by the end of that show the scroll is in T's...by 15 min into The Good Wife, you finally see the end of the alphabet appear...

Very simple observations...you guys are making this more time intense than it actually was...no stop watch...no written progress sheet...no live blog...just simply making a mental note of crap scrolling across the bottom of the screen...
