I recently inherited a Taiyo-Juki Arco International 20 guage single-shot shot gun from my father-in-law. It was in pieces in his garage and my MIL (and no one else) wanted it, so I brought it home with me.

It appears that there is a clip that holds the forearm on (and therefore the barrel).

Does anyone know anything about these guns? There is extremely limited info available on the internet.

I know that he bought it while on leave in Tokyo in the mid 1950's when he was stationed in post-war Korea. I saw some listed on armslist and other websites for $40-60, so obviously it doesn't have great value. But, it would be nice to fix up for my kids.

Does anyone know where to find a parts list or schematic for Taiyo-Juki guns? I hate to spend a lot of money fixing it up, since it doesn't have great intrinsic value. My FIL had used duct tape to hold the forearm on. I sure don't want to do that!

Thanks in advance for anyone who can help.

a couple pics would be nice
1. receiver area
2. area where you need a part
3. whole gun

if they were ever imported to the US may have been under another name.
or if a copy of another brand. somebody may be able to help identify it.

I'll get some pics up as soon as I can.

The black piece on the top is the one I'm pretty sure is broken.

If you could figure out what the part needed to look like you could have someone proba fab something one-off for you. A buddy who has access to a machine shop or something. You could probably make it work.

I've thought about that, too. Of course, the problem for me is having no idea what it's supposed to look like. :/
