The reason to get a dedicated 22 can is that it should be able to be disassembled and they are much smaller and lighter than a .223 can. I would say of you're going to get a rifle can, get a .308 can and use it on the .223. For a .22, get a .22 can.
You should buy the quiet one.

The specter is nice but SWR customer service now is as bad as AAC.
SWR is now owned by Silencerco, who's customer service is known to be excellent. Have you had dealings with them recently?
I'd go with the Element2. I just recieved my Element and its great, but the changes made to the Element2 were needed. Dustin Guander is the only one to deal with.

I have shot quite a few and I will not buy anything other than a silenerco Sparrow now. I have a cascadeTI a gemtech and a sparrow and there is no comparison. Customer service, quality and noise reduction are all better with silencerco.
