Thinking of getting a SBR and paying uncle for the privilege of owning one. I see a lot of you guys are setting up living trusts to register them under. So does that mean that if you just registered the SBR in your name and not a trust, if you were to croak there is no way to transfer ownership to your wife/kids?

Extreme class 3 newb but I'm lusting after this SBR 9mm.

How do I found out if I have a douche bag sheriff? Guess call and see if they approve form 1s?

Anyone know if Grady county sheriff Kell is GTG?

I waited on a sheriff for several months before he returned it to me without a signature. Im not saying that he doesnt sign them (not referning to brady county), just he couldnt get info on my background from Chicago. If i could do it all over again i would go with the trust, from the begening.

Didnt we just have a county election for Sheriff? I know, I didnt vote but I heard about it late. Anyway, if Art Kell is still in there, I would wait. He was apparently being investigated for falsifying his deputys Cleet certs.

I'm pretty sure that election will be on the Nov. ballot. Kell wasn't even cleet certified when he was elected in 08 if I'm not mistaken.

Hmm, someone told me the election was "next Tues." and that was a week or 2 ago? I'm not sure how one could serve as Sheriff if hes not Cleet certified?

The Current Grady County Sheriff will sign for NFA.

The main advantage of the trust for me, is the ability of other people I name to legally have and use the item without my presence. If yore considering a trust, shoot me a PM. I too live in Tuttle, and Ive got one you can have a look at.
