I am shopping for a weapon light for an XD9 and I came to the conclusion that I may as way put a laser on it too, it's a house gun not a carry gun so I don't mind adding equipment that will keep me from holstering it. After quite a bit of shopping I've found that I keep coming back to the Streamlight TLR-2, but it is pretty pricey and I'd hate to have buyer's remorse on this kind of a deal.

So I'm curious to know if anyone on the boards is using one, if so would you mind sharing your opinion?

Also, would anyone care to make a recommendation of a better set-up? Should I be looking at lights and lasers separately?

Finally, if anyone has a TLR-2 for sale or knows where I can pick one up for less than $240+ that Midway sells it for please let me know.

I put a Viridian green laser with the light on mine. I really like it for home use, especially with the laser and strobe light activated. Its very disorienting if its aimed at you, but provides great illumination in a dark home when carrying it.

I have both the TRL2 and the Viridian. Both are good but I prefer the Viridian. The main issue will be non-bulky holsters for CCW. Hard to find.

2 votes for Viridian huh? I'll check that one out again.

I work tomorrow, let me see what I can do on the price for you. I am a full Streamlight dealer. I'll PM when I get the price for you.

Thanks, that would be great - I always prefer to deal with fellow OSAers when I can.
