Which AAC QD mount?

I'm wondering for those of you that have an AAC can, which QD mount are you using? Which one would you suggest for either a 14.5", 16" or 18" barrel with middy gas system? I've got the Blackout 51T muzzle brake on my SBR, mainly got it for the extra protection for the baffles. Would the Brakeout or Blackout Flash hider be better for these new options?

Muzzle brake if you want recoil control, flash hider if you want flash control, brakeout if you want neither.

I figured that, just wasn't sure if the can needed any extra protection with the longer barrels.

I use the muzzle brake on everything unless I'm feeling cheap. The brake on .223 is obnoxiously loud but does a dang good job of muzzle control. I like the recoil reduction. If I need flash suppression, I screw the can on.

Muzzle brake adds 1.5" right? Thinking of getting the 14.5 and silver soldering the MB on.

Not for .223. The MB doesn't get you there.

Measured one and it is 2.02. I thread to .600 length and some are a litle longer 20-30 thou. 14.5 - .6 + 2.02 = 15.92".

This^^ I run muzzle brakes on my 14.5" and 10.5"
