A bit of a thread diversion but what really surprised me about all this is the doubling of AR prices and the same not happening to AK's. AK's are going to be harder to get ahold of(import ban) and it's not like everybody has stacks of stripped AK lowers lying around to build from. AK ammo may be harder to get in the future(imported) yet it's still significantly cheaper than AR ammo. If you had gone to any recent big gun show lately, you would have seen 500 AR's and maybe 15 AK's. Where's the AK love/insanity ?
one interesting thing about AK's, you can make your own receiver. AR's you are stuck, unless you buy a 80% receiver and mill it out.

Just got in from the gun show at OKC. A sellers market for sure. Kinda almost crazy. Sold a ar15 and probably left some money on the table. Priced it a little high, so as to go back and forth.(that's part of the fun for me). This guy didn't quibble a bit and started shucking out c-notes. I've never seen anything like it.

So what are they selling for in cash?

I just got back from OKC. Went to look for lowers. They only table I found with stripped lowers was King's. They were priced at $1,000.00 for a stripped lower. Don't ask the brand, because I could not stop laughing long enough to look past the price.

Wow... I feel sorry for anyone who actually laid down the cash for that.
