Hello my fellow gun toting friends. I am a Fat man with an attitude and I love to shoot. If it puts lead down range then I want to be the one that pulls the trigger. I live in Moore OK and just cant seem to get enough ammo or guns to fix my addiction. I am lucky however as my wife is a fellow gun freak. She loves the long guns more than me but hey….she loves to shoot and that’s a bonus in my books. I have several friends we go shooting with and what can I say…..it is a true addiction. Would love to meet more people and freaks like myself so I decided to stop being on the sidelines and join in on the conversation.

Hey! I'm originally from Jones, OK, but currently reside in the mountains of Rome, Georgia. Alot has changed in my home state in the last two years since I've last visited. Here in GA, we've got some great laws on the books, that I know by heart, but I'm unfamiliar with OK laws.

I'm leaving out in the morning and will be in Midwest City/OKC for the weekend.

Can anyone point out a "cheat sheet" that I should review and carry? I'm not looking to go to jail out of "ignorance of the law". How are laws there different?

In Ga we can We cannot
CC/OC with or without holster Carry in Schools,College,
Signs don't mean CRAP Church, Bar, Mental Hospital..
Carry in Applebees/Chilis, but not a "BAR" like a pub, Unless you're in State
Defense Force (we're
exempt like LEO).

Drink alcohol while carry (I don't recommend)
LEO cannot demand to see ID/Lic without RAS/PC
Carry at public gatherings

Any info you guys can offer would be great. Also, how is the OC movement going? I carry a SHINY Springfield 1911 Compact, and for 4 years haven't had one negative experience (citizens, business owners or LEO). I realize OC is new back home, and I'm not looking to make a statement while on vacation, but would prefer to OC if it's not a risk.

I just saw your post so this info is too late to help on this trip, but you can always go to Handgunlaw.us to find the latest on carry info for each state. They keep the site up to date. When I travel, I print out the data for each state I plan to visit so I can review laws before I step wrong.

Ah, it's cool either way. I know some forums purge inactive accounts after a while, so I just assumed that's what happened. No worries!
