The proposal posted on ATF.gov states they plan to expand the CLEO signature requirement to basically everyone on the trust who has any rights to the item:

The public comment section is not yet open, but should be open soon. At that time there is 90 days to comment. I hope a deluge of logical, articulate comments can at least change these proposals or no more NFA for many people in areas where CLEOs will not sign.

Yep. So is it true that in Tulsa the police chief will sign NFA forms? Or is there no one in Tulsa who will sign?

I've actually heard just the opposite, but honestly don't really know the truth of it. At this point I'm considering trying to talk the wife into letting me use the credit card to get a suppressor into the queue before these rule changes can possibly go into place. If they actually believe that the persons on the trust aren't investigated before the trust is approved, they're really kidding themselves.

I don't either. In https://www.okshooters.com/showthre...CLEO-in-Tulsa-county&highlight=CLEO+signature from 2011 it is stated that the Tulsa Police Chief signed one person's and stated at a fundraiser that he would sign. I was hoping that was true and that I could get some first hand validation of it. I've heard repeatedly from both SOTs in Tulsa and online that the sheriff will not.

I will also be writing in, as I hope thousands of others across the country will, with a detailed response against the proposed changes... for all the good that it will do.

It's entirely possible I heard about an old chief. There's an email contact for him on the TPD website. I guess someone could always send him an email.
