Here are a couple of mine. The AK is Cummins Tan high temp ceramic. I ended up scuffing it with a scotch bright to know down the high shine.
I didn't pain this one, it was like it when I bought it, but its worth putting up.

Y'all forgot some stuff....hit the barrel, grips, optics, buffer tube, attachments and mags too, otherwise you defeat the purpose (unless the purpose was just having fun and making it look "cool", then I get it).

Well I was bustin' yer chops, and there a few good examples in this thread already, but here you go:
For me the point of rattle-canning a gun is to functionally camouflage it. To do that, you gotta get down to it and paint the whole thing. Leaving a huge black scope, black barrel and all that biz is like showing up in cool new multi-cam wearing a gold watch and a pale face LOL (but I get it, some folks are just experimenting and having fun, or don't want to rattle can a high dollar optic...no harm in that and I'm not flamin').
Here's one my oldest and I did based on a technique I do not claim ownership of. Touch up is as easy as grabbing a can...and the color can be adjusted the same way. Magazines can be done the same way. The whole thing took about 30 min.
Before:
Base coat of tan (the only thing taped off is the dial on the micro red dot, the front and rear sight important bits, and a paper towel stuffed down the muzzle.:
