It is really sad, but we lectured the Boy Scout we trained about this very thing. Although I thought the part about the .22 casings not ending up in their mom's washer or dryer was the important part.

It was my intention to teach government or us history at public high school in the hopes that I could help in producing some responsible voters after they leave high school. But if this is the case when the wife and I move out into the boonies (le flore co maybe) then I may just focus all of my energy on the only two voters I'm actually responsible for...

I taught (note the past tense) high school for 8 years. I will not go back. Sad thing is, I love teaching and am good at it. Also, if my wife and ever have children, they absolutely will not go to public schools.

I'm pretty liberal about some things and probably considered one of the most "liberal" people on this forum but even I think think "the left" has turned this country's infrastructure stupid. Seriously, punishing a child for bring an empty cartridge case to school, especially under the circumstances, getting bunged up over someone's T-shirt, kicking kids out of school for bringing a plastic picnic knife in their lunch?? It's just turned stupid. How adults can rationalize this kind of behavior is mind boggling...ACK!!

Oddly enough, when I was teaching I had a .50 cal casing on my desk. I used for a pen holder.

PS: IMHO, it is an almost sure bet that the 2nd Amendment and gun ownershlip will also be sure to take a big hit if lib dems have their way in this school. We already have seen the anti-gun menality of the lib dems in CO's state .gov, why would this school be any different?
