You know what else is ghey? Paying the government $200 to exercise your constitutional rights.

Agreed, cost of doing business, pay to play and all that other jazz, I suppose. Kind of like the fees and taxes you pay to engage in business as a FFL and submitting to and actively helping an agency who's job it is to regulate those constitutional rights.

I'll keep calling my representatives in Congress trying to get it changed while playing by the rules and paying for the items I want.

I chose that route because it was the cheapest way to get a machine gun.:naughty:

I have. Im just busting the owners balls. I mean, if you are short enough that this device works well as a stock, then go for it.:comfort:

I mean c'mon, the brace plus tube is what, $150?
You saved $50 and some wait time. Having said that, If it is the owners way of sticking it to the NFA, then I am all for it.

You also have to take into account the cost if the stock you'll be sing for your SBR.

$200 tax stamp + $80 CTR stock + $60 buffer tube kit = $340

Vs

$150 sig brace

$150+ saved

Somehow everyone always forgets that you still have to buy a stock and tube when they compare prices of an SBR and a sig brace pistol.

Yeah, you are right seano. Its actually a little more than that in my case, and in others it's probably less. Either way, I get your point.

Besides, if it works who cares if it looks ghey?

I think a lot of people assume the brace is a retrofit to a current rifle, so they dismiss the original stock price. on a new build you would be correct.

I was doubtful about the brace until a friend of mine got one. I was very surprised at how well it shouldered. If I didn't already have an SBR, it would be a strong contender on a future build. I don't run my stock fully collapsed though so I'd have to buy that other pistol tube that extends the mounting of the brace an inch or two.
