I've decided my next build is going to be a 300 blk sbr with a silencer. I've researched the process of getting a silencer but I want to have it pinned to the barrel. That way I can buy one stamp. Can someone direct me to a gunsmith that can pin it to the barrel? I also need an attorney that specializes in nfa trusts. I may end up just getting two stamps but I want to at least talk to a gunsmith about it first.

Thanks as always for your help!

I also should add I don't really want to use a silencerco, etc trust. I've read some stuff on other forums from lawyers who don't recommend them. I'm looking for someone that knows how to do it in Oklahoma.

I don't know what silencer you are going with, but that is generally a lot of money to dedicate a silencer to one firearm. You will save the tax stamp money, but have to spend a little to have it perm attached. So you aren't really saving much money. Plus you might decide you want to make another gun quiet, and then you would have to buy another silencer, which will be more than the 200 bucks you saved. I would definitely think about the perm attaching idea. It is your money and you can do what you want.

There is no way I would pin a suppressor to avoid an SBR stamp. Too many reasons not to do this versus one reason to do it. I have a few integrals and they serve a purpose, but they are rimfire suppressors that can be taken apart for cleaning. You likely won't need to clean a centerfire can, but you may need to send it in for a baffle strike, want to have it refinished after the factory finish is burned off, or want to try the suppressor on another rifle. You may also want to change suppressors on that rifle for one reason or another. If you need warranty work on the can, you're going to wish you had just paid for the stamp. Either way, it's your money and look forward to seeing pics of whatever you decide!

Ditto on getting two stamps. One .308 suppressor can be used on a variety of weapons. .300, .308, and 5.56. As far as the company there a lot of options. Harsh in Norman has most of the big names except maybe KAC. I've had a Yankee I'll titanium .308 for a while. It's not the most fancy one out there but gets the job done. Surefire is nice but I don't think you could use on a smaller caliber. AAC is decent too. There are also a bunch of smaller manufactures with nice and unique products..

Others have said it and its your money, but you are 1 baffle strike or warranty issue away from having to use a gunsmith multiple times, so end the end you may likely pay more by pinning/welding the can on the barrel to avoid the stamp than the $200 stamp from the get-go.

As for the trust +1 on Winton law.

Thanks for the advice guys. I want to talk to someone who can pin em before I make the final decision. If it costs much I will just get the second stamp and get a silencer I could use for multiple calibers. As the saying goes, "buy once, cry once".

If I go the pinned/integral route it will most likely be this one. https://libertycans.net/leonidas/
