I say it's proven. It's not just that they happen to be in the area when the earthquake happened and that earthquake would have happened whether they were there or not. No I don't believe that. The earthquake didn't and never happened before they got there, and when they got there, those folks started having earthquakes. Call it what you will. The facts are laid out. Believe them or not, that's up to you as a free man. The fact is the average joe, like me, has taken notice, done some reseach and is pissed enough about it to become an activist against the industry. And public opinion is moving away from the industry and they know this. They are going to have a tougher time getting their guy elected next time around because people, like me, are tired of oil companies forcing their way onto people's land, causing earthquakes, and shyting where they eat (pollution). All it takes is for enough people like me to get tired enough of the BS to get the word out and enough people will start demanding fracking ends, etc etc. And it's no one but the oil industry's fault. They could have taken care of their neighbors. Not sued people out of the land they own, and been good corporate citizens but they didn't They turned a big ship and they might not find themselves as welcome here unless they clean up their act and quickly.

Ok, enough, punchy tired and rambling.

How can you say its proven, when the water injection is going on all over the Midwest? 12 wells don't prove anything.

I say how high can you go? Crank em up and let's see what happens. Shake, Rattle, and Roll. haha

Have you ever actually been around the industry? Or is your opinion based solely on the media and your own "research"?
what I am asking is so you have an actual working understanding of how things work in the industry or are you an outsider who for some reason or the other has a grudge against the industry?

Even after several years of significantly enhance growth by increased levels of CO2, the forest still had an increased NPP of 9% over baseline at the end of the study. If that doesn't prove that CO2 works as a fertilizer, what will??

And here's a study published 4 years after the one you posted was published, by one of the same authors, I might add, which states that "This finding implies that the contemporary terrestrial biosphere is more CO2 limited than previously thought."

If it is proven that waste water injection wells cause earthquakes then Kansas, Arkansas, Texas, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Louisanna, North Dakota and a lot of other states should be having a lot of earthquakes

I worked in the industry for over 5 years. If that makes you feel better I suppose. It's like someone asking whether my house has been hit by an earthquake. It doesn't matter. The issues are earthquakes and the oil industry that's causing them. I know you guys will deny it. Doesn't matter, I'm not trying to convince you. My job is to get these facts out there, out from under all the propaganda of oil industry commercials, OERB feelgood facebook posts, etc. These are facts placed out there by disinterested science seeking truths, not an angle or their next billion. So like I said before, you think the oil industry is out playing robin hood, it's your vote. I don't agree with you and I'll vote my way. For everyone else, they get to see some data that might otherwise be lost in the din and that get's them to a point of being able to make their own, independent, informed decision.

But you haven't presented any proof. Your proof is speculation and conjecture by your own admission.

In what way were you involved in the industry? It is a vast industry. You could have had a job in an oil field company's warehouse, so I ask again, do you have any actual hands on knowledge of injection wells or oil and gas wells?

And your proof... Oklahoma is one of many states where there are injection wells. Are other states seeing a rise in seismic activity due to injection wells? Or is Oklahoma special in that we are the only ones who get to experience it.

No I said I was suspect of the mechanics of the greenhouse effect. I've said from the start that oil and gas activity has been proven to be responsible for the 600x increase in earthquakes. In this thread and others, I've posted peer reviewed research posted by independently funded scientists who say that oil and gas is responsible. They arrived there using the scientific method and testing through the method of residuals. What else is there? Don't believe it? Don't. Don't want to believe it because those damn scientists with nothing to gain/loose from their findings? Don't. I already recognise people involved in the industry have a paycheck on the line. I don't expect you to say, oh, take my paycheck. I don't get paid a dime difference either way. So when I see the research as proof, just know it doesn't profit me like it does you. It's just an analysis of the facts.

Prove it's not oil and gas activities. Show me how it's impossible for waste disposal to cause earthquakes. Make a person who doesn't get paid a believer. BTW, what do you do? Does turning a wrench on a rig qualify one to speak about the dynamics of geophysical structures underground?

EDIT: No, we aren't the only ones blessed with a little dust shaker from time to time.

There is more, just too tired to dig it out. www.google.com will give plenty.
