Damn I am so freaking jealous! I have been wanting an AOW shotty for so long... and that thing looks sweet!
SBS you can use any shotgun. Truly, an AOW has to be built on a virgin receiver that has had only a pistol grip or no grip, I believe.

Those short barrels have a hard time getting any speed because of the barrel length with factory loads/powder type.
Now, put some fast burning pistol powder in that load, and you have a ball game.
How's the recoil? Awesome.
