Know anyone who does laser engraving?

My recently-approved SBR lower is already Cerakoted and the more I think about it, the more I'm worried standard engraving might leave me with some bad edges around the engraving. I might even be willing to ship it somewhere to make sure it gets done well. Also has to be smaller than serial, due to the design of my lower receiver - no big open flat places. So maybe laser-etched would be good.

Any suggestions?

I used L+M in Tulsa for a woodworking project a while back, talked to him about doing gun stuff and he said he had, and liked to do it.

This was 2 years ago, so you might check with him.

And also, why are you worried about messing up the cerakote? Do you plan to let it live in the safe collecting dust? Or are you going to get a pretty little wooden display box and hang it on the wall?

Yeah the laser won't get it done. You're going to have to engrave it. Orangwes is your guy. He's in Collinsville and does a great job. Let me know if you want to see my SBR and I'll meet you Saturday so you can see his work.

I've got a ton of ARs. I don't worry much about them getting messed up. This one I specifically built and had Cerakoted to look NICE. I want(ed) it to look nice. I will be using it, yes. But I also want to keep it looking nice if I can. Something wrong with that? I got a billet upper/lower pair, billet accessories, paid to have it Cerakoted, etc. All of which is aesthetic. Because I wanted to.

I got plenty of beater/truck guns.

I did talk to Wes once via text. Just I have to drive it down, drop it off, come back and get it - considering my work schedule and the distance, it's just a bit of a hassle. But it's no big deal. I didn't realize laser couldn't go 0.003" deep.
