Old ammocan

Today I run across an old ammo can that belonged to my grandfather. I never really noticed the way it was marked before. AMM BOX CAL 50M2.

It peaked my interest.
Can anyone tell me more about it. Maybe a date range or something.

That is one reason I hung on to it the last 5-6 years. The reels were very well protected when they were stored. There are several lures that are new in the package.

I need to catalog it and see what I can find.
