The chinese are demanding a higher wage and getting it. Corporations are moving in droves from China to Sri-lanka and other 3rd world countries.
http://qz.com/170363/the-average-ch...arns-about-the-same-as-a-cleaner-in-thailand/
According to CNN’s online global wage calculator, which uses data from the International Labor Organization, the average annual salary of a worker in China’s private sector was 28,752 yuan (about $4,755) in 2012, or 38% of the global average. That’s roughly the same as a cleaner in Thailand, according to CNN’s data. (It’s also 4% of the average American CEO’s annual pay and only 0.01% of what the Queen of England makes in a year, in case you were wondering.)

How the average annual salary of a private-sector worker in China compares with the rest of the world.(CNN Global Wage Calculator)
These figures are circulating Chinese social media, generating over 13,000 posts on Sina Weibo, as internet users complain that their modest wages don’t match China’s status as the world’s second-largest economy. (There is some nuance, of course, related to the purchasing power of a smaller salary in China compared with the same amount in more advanced economies, but this doesn’t get much of an airing in these debates.) One blogger said (registration required), “So China is very rich but Chinese people are very poor.” One called on Chinese president Xi Jinping, writing, “China is that poor? Does Big Xi know?” Another simply said, “Where is my money?”

The discussion highlights the uneven distribution of wealth that persists amid China’s rapid economic growth. China has the world’smost billionaires after the US, according to a report by Wealth-X and UBS. At the same time, 18 provinces have downgraded their expectations for per capita disposable income this year, and overall measures of inequality in China only improved a smidgeon last year, according to government statistics.

Bloggers found that even higher-range Chinese salaries don’t fare very well in the global league tables. The average salary for public-sector workers is around 60% higher than the equivalent in the private sector, but is still only 60% of the global average. Using CNN’s tool, Chinese media plugged in government figures for the country’s “high income” bracket of urban disposable income (link in Chinese)—and discovered that the closest equivalent is a taxi driver in South Africa.

I feel like this is a trap...
Its easy to understand why ACE but no, I agree with this line of thinking, even though I'm not smart enough to have an intelligent thought. lol
I commend anyone who builds wealth and becomes rich using our system but to do it on the backs of underpaid workers makes you a douche. The Waltons are doing just that and so are LOTS of others. Aubrey McClendon did the opposite. People that worked for him on 63rd street campus were the happiest workers in OK. Well paid with paid time off to use the fitness facility on campus there. Wow, thats a kool idea... Treat people well and they will be happy to make you more rich.

I believe NPR's Marketplace had a story about CEO compensation a few weeks back that was very interesting. IIRC, the drastic rise had a lot to do with rules Clinton put in place to try to limit it. I'll see if i can find it

Typical DH demagoguery. It's simply amazing how you can believe such tripe. Because some on the left have the temerity to point out that there is a growing gap in earnings between the highest earners and the average worker, you decide that they want brain surgeons to make the same as janitors. No one is saying what you are claiming
.
You don't listen to Hillary or Bernie much do you, or are you just trying to spin their platforms of income equality. Socialism plain and clear.

You wrote, "The mindless liberals that favor equality in income will be just like Cuba if they had it there way. The average income in that country is $28 dollars a month." I pointed out that the left's complaint regarding income inequality was not, in any way, shape form or fashion, a call for everyone to earn the same. The left's, and many on the right, complaint is the growing gap between the average earner and the very top earners. That is what Clinton has been saying consistently. It's not a call for some kind of socialism, as that's not even what socialism is. It's amazing how often that word is thrown around by people who clearly have no idea what it even means. I find it a bit funny, if not outright disingenuous, that you ignored an article from Forbes expressing the same concerns as Hillary and left. As you know, Forbes is about as pro capitalism as they come. But, it's just the left's love of socialism in your mind.

As a socialist, would you mind explaining what socialism is?

I stand by that statement to. Bernie is a self proclaimed socialist that spent his honeymoon in the Russia. He unabashedly admits he is a socialist, and Hillary has gone left of Bernie trying to catch up because she is now 2nd in some national polls. Even the lame stream media is commenting how far left Hillary has gone since the start of the campaign. Income equality and redistribution of wealth is all they speak about, is a plank in their platforms and the main topic of their campaign speeches.
So my comment about you must not be listening to them stands.
Do you honestly think Hillary is going to give up her millions so she can be equal to jane doe? She was dead broke though one time, right after Bill and her left the White House.
The Clintons are worth $111 million dollars currently. I don't see her giving any of that up. Hell, she can't even leave a tip for a Chipotle worker. Stiffed the poor minimum wage worker. How in Gods name is that going to help income equality?
At least GW Bush left a $40 tip to a female wait staff for a $15 meal.http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...-W-Bush-trashing-Twitter-saying-did-9-11.html
The women that work in her office made less than the men did. She is sure the person women want in office as their champion? http://www.ijreview.com/2015/02/257200-hillary-clinton-paid-female-staff-28-percent-less-men/
