So I am thinking I want to purchase a 9mm can in the next year or so. With all the hype and silliness that is going on in the world, what is a decent price for one now? Are they available? What's the wait time from the ATF?

Thanks men! I appreciate the input.

The problem is availability. There was a run on them before the 7/13 change. Check silencershop.com for prices on the different manufacturers. I went with a Sig Saur in .45 that can also be adapted to .40 and 9mm. Got mine from Cold Hand Arms in OKC. I've been told the wait time is 6 to 8 months.

I've been told the wait time is 6 to 8 months.

Wait times were running right at 6 months, people that submitted in January were getting stamps back, when the deadline for 41F implementation hit. Anyone that predicts a wait time at this point for an item you are currently buying from them will be talking out their a** because of the dramatic uptick caused by 41F.

Yep. I've sent forms for Suppressors in 22LR and 7.62 back in June, and an SBR in early July. I'm wondering how the wait time will be impacted.

I'd wager people that submitted, or resubmitted after BATFE lost a form that was originally submitted in March in my case, just under the deadline will be looking at a year plus. I'll be keeping an eye on the trend graph on NFA Tracker, which already shows an upward tick from the run-up to 41F.

I sent a form 4 off in February and got it approved early June. Sent another one off mid June, and called about it last week and was told they were currently approving forms from April. Hopefully the 4 months trend continues or gets better.

My forms in October were approved in 41 and 56 days. I'm currently on 140 days on another and 25 days in the most recent. I'm expecting 9-10+months on the most recent with the increased applications and changes in the process.
