I shoot quite a bit of Aquila subsonic. Academy usually carries it locally, if not they've got it on sale online right now for $3.99/50 with free shipping on orders $25 or more. (LINK). I find that running a few full-velocity copper plated rounds through the suppressor at the end of a range session goes a long way to reduce fouling.

I didn't know that. Thanks
No problem. A rifle will need subsonics but with such a short barrel a pistol will have few problems unless it is a lighter bullet.

Another side note is that temperature, humidity and elevation will affect the speed of sound. At 68 degrees the speed of sound is around 1115 ft/s while at 32 degrees is is closer to 1088 ft/s.

I know this is an older post, but I'll throw in my two cents. I swear by Aguila .22LR subsonic. I love their subsonic ammo. I shoot it out of my M&P 15-22, and my M&P .22 compact a lot. I have about 4,500 rounds of it through my 15-22, and it works like a champ. Academy usually has the best deals on it, and they have free shipping on their website.

hahaha that's funny. I love the way that Aguila smells. When I go a few days without shooting, after that first shot, a take a deep breath and sigh.....my wife always laughs at me when I do that. I haven't tried the CCI suppressed yet, but I want to.
