SAM7 was the first AK I ever bought. Really great rifle even though it's a little heavy. Its action is the smoothest I've ever seen on an AK. It opened the door to spending thousands and thousands on other AKs bc I liked that one so much. Out of all my AKs, the sam7 is still my favorite to shoot. I'd recommend buy the rifle and hope for the best. Can't go wrong with a milled Arsenal.

Yes, I was thinking of an SAM7-61 if not I found a rare gem in the area Arsenal also and might go back for it.

I purchased a Sam7-66, I think. It has the quad rail hand guard. Inititally, I wished I would have spent a little more on an SAM7SF-84. But I ended up buying that one too, but it sits in the safe, unfired for now. Sam7sf-84 Grab a gun for around 1290. The sam766 cost me $1300 from kvar. I will say I like the sam7 better than my SLR107. SLRs are hard to find right now and people are trying to over price them.

I did find one SLR it might be a little priced, but I think it's worth it. I like the idea of the "folding stock" option.

thanks. far as the ammo ban goes...there is so much of this stuff in the US I don't think we would have to worry about it.
