All these nice deer are what it looks like when hunters pass on small bucks! I think the ODWC's propaganda and education plan is working! Furthermore, I am glad they did not change regulations to force QDM on us and hope they continue to hold the course and allow hunters to make their own decisions! I said when they started this and will say it again. If Oklahoma can succeed with their plan our deer regulations and herd will be the envy of the nation!

Propaganda is right!! :) Just think what one buck and December rifle season could yield!

I am a friend of meatgrinder and have helped him over the years, so I am especially proud of his accomplishment. He turned down a small 8 point opening morning with me because the buck was too young and had good genes. A little later a shooter came in that I told him to kill him but there was not a good opportunity, so he passed again. "Robin Hood" has now had his "Right of Passage" as his son had during the 2015 Special youth season on my farm sitting next to his Dad, "Robin".:clap3:Proud of you Meatgrinder. I look forward to visiting with you at the Party and hearing the story.

Congrats Meatgrinder!!! You will never forget your first.

I live in a county in east Texas that has had "forced QDM" for several years, and though there was ALOT of belly aching and complaining at first, it's been the best thing for the deer herd and buck quality. I would support a one buck limit in OK for sure, and I'd love to see rifle season moved back a couple weeks (and maybe even shortened).

December rifle would be great.

That buck I shot the other weekend was the largest we had on camera in several years. Second largest I'd seen in a couple years. Cherokee County representing! Lol. I hadn't shot a buck in 5 years. Been passing small young bucks left and right right these past 5 years. If the neighbors did the same we'd be in good shape. But hell, they hunt with 'autoloading muzzleloaders' and their bows require hearing protection so that's a pipe dream.

I've found "neighbors" tend to be the limiting factor to most successful QDM programs.

My buddy shot this one at 3pm today. He disappeared over 2 weeks ago and just came back. His back glands were clean as a whistle and didn't smell rutty at all. He was all about eating some carbs.
