I find that funny between TX and OK. I rarely saw suppressors at shows/shops in TX (lived there from 2007-2015)...but it seems like everyone here has them available.
Dont get me wrong, they were at shows and such but not nearly in the numbers as it is here.

I'm just impressed by our ownership density.

suppressor ownership
OK - 0.8%
TX - 0.6%
GA - 0.5%
FL - 0.3%
Probably better to say suppressors per hundred, since almost nobody can stop at just one. I'm guessing ownership density is like .25%. Still impressive nonetheless. I bet we are up there in a lot of gun ownership related categories.

In total, there are 14 NFA items per 1000 people in the US. Take that with a grain of salt, there are 8 destructive devices per 1k. I'm guess that includes dynamite or similar explosives owned by corporations too. Exclude DDs and you drop to 6/1k.

What I find veddy veddy interesting... is Connecticut has the highest number of machineguns per 1k people at 10.5/k, with NH, DC, MD, VA following up with 7.046, 6.955, 4.398, 4.019 per 1000.

Oklahoma may be number 28 in order of population, but we are 12th in order of total NFA items owned (excluding DDs), and 5th in density of NFA items at at nearly 12.5/1k(!).

a lot of it is old numbers. guns, suppressors, etc from long ago. like '68 amnesty.
back in the 80's when I was a class III dealer we sold a suppressor with every mac 10.11.12
plus for cobray m9/11, tec-9 and others . a sionics type was only like $100-150 plus the tax.
Ah! the good old days I bought 20 sten tubes from S&H for $100 ea in "86
bought 14 MG's at an auction for $2800 in '85 wish now I had kept them.
