i have had this little problem for a few months and it is getting worse. i have given up on pocket 380's, etc.

Anybody experienced this change in life? Any suggestions on new purchases?

Before I do a doc visit, any thoughts that shooting may cause additional damage?

When I'm suffering from such ailments, I'll take ibuprofin before I leave for the range.

But, when you see your doc, ask him for a prescription for Voltarin Gel. It's a topical ointment NSAID and works better than one might imagine.

Try a larger frame?

At the risk of being ridiculed... Hi-point's C9 9mm is a blowback design, and has much less recoil than most.

Or go with a smaller caliber, such as .22 magnum.

I was thinking about the 22mag idea earlier today, but I just can't push myself toward the hi-point idea. I know..... But I'd probably just start carrying a pocket full of rocks first! Ha!

For soft shooters, how about an all steel J frame with wadcutters? Also, the beretta px4 has the lightest recoil of any polymer 9mm I've tried. The compact is a nice size (not the subcompact)

I had forgotten about the wadcutter idea, and I believe I know of a PX4 I can try out. Thanks!

J Frame S&W Model 60, .357 mag, 3" in stainless. Smaller than many, decent accuracy, trigger can be worked and the pulls for SA/DA are already pretty good. Added advantage of 38 wads for range use and the big dawgs for CCW.
