just Curious why those over 50 may have an issue with Mac. I don't have Mac. and never will because I'm a
dedicated windows user?
Sounds like some racist statement? Who is in charge of this statement?

It's kinda like the deal with the changes from windows 7 to 8. When you have used one thing for a long time you know how to work it. Mac's have a completely different interface and way of doing things. I can't stand the Mac interface and it sucks for a lot of things I do because the software just isn't there not to mention the price premium for the computer and all software along with certain hardware being non existant. The most hilarious thing I have heard from a ton of mac users is "no viruses" which is BS too as they are out there and the users are lulled into a false sense of security. I also hate Windows 10 and their concept of doing things especially with the forced updates since they force drivers to be updated and that can wreak havoc with some things I do.

If you want to try something similar on your PC that will give you an idea how a mac looks go to https://elementary.io/ where it says "custom" put zero and then click on the "Download elementary OS" button and download the ISO. Burn the ISO to disc and then reboot your computer with the disc in the optical drive (this will require a blank DVD). It will boot into a "live" desktop environment so don't click on the deal to install it or you may lose everything on your computer.

Once you are in the live environment surf the web, open a few programs and find your way around. If it is a PAIN to you then you will not want to switch to a Mac because while the programs are different than the ones on the live cd, they will be in a similar layout and no where near the same as the windows types.

BTW if you want something that is linux based and similar to windows https://zorinos.com/ would be one to try though Mint linux is a good second. And if you have a computer I would suggest having a live cd around for those times something messes up anyway unless you have a spare computer sitting around that will fit your needs.

That has been my experience. I'm a part-time PC Support Guy. I've seen several folks who's (Mac) kids have convinced them to switch to a Mac. They are SO different that they never got the hang of the Mac, even after many years. It was very frustrating for them. So... I don't recommend it if you are 'older' and have been a PC user since day one.
BTW, I'm not under 30, I'm over 60. My first PC was the ORIGINAL IBM PC with 64 KB of memory and the 360 KB floppy disk!

My first PC was a TRS-80 (a.k.a. Trash80) with 4kb of memory and if you wanted to save something, you saved it to a tape-recorder.
Oh no, that was not a PC, that was a home computer, to be a PC it must be IBM PC compatible. My first home computer was a Sinclair ZX-80 in 1980, still got it. 1KB of memory! Hooks up to your B&W TV and a cassette recorder. The first computer I ever used was a IBM 370, filled up a room!
