But the vast majority of standard velocity cartridges from any manufacturer will be subsonic out of most guns and most atmospheric conditions. You have to have just the right ammo, just the right gun/barrel length and just the right atmospheric conditions to go supersonic.
That may be true with 40 grain ammo, but there's nothing here that says they were using 40 over 36.

1200fps Federal is clearly super.

My only point is that the stated standard velocity ammo used is not necessarily subsonic, and I have proven it. Feel free to argue amongst yourselves.

Oh my goodness guys. Can we argue about stupider stuff please?

If I were to be interested in buying one, the decimal level would have to be lower for sure and I'd like to see testing done with a wide range of ammo, but I can't deny the fact that it's friggin awesome that a major gun company is adding a factory built integral rifle to their lineup. A takedown model too. That alone has my interest peaked.

That's my interest in it. The more of the major manufacturers that start offering suppressors the more likely it will be that they become publicly accepted and the HPA will pass.

Not clearly. Depends on barrel length and atmospheric conditions.

He is obviously not familiar with the terminology "Standard Velocity" when it comes to .22lr, and seems unwilling to learn. Or if he is familiar with it, he is being intentionally obtuse. Either way, why waste more energy?

So I fondled one of these barrels today, Pretty awesome, though I worry about the barrel length. The actual rifled part of the barrel, couldn't be more than 10-12" long though...................
