It was the Russians. There is no question to that fact. As for actual collusion, none may ever be found. We know who carried out the hack. We know who (Team Trump) greatly benefited from the release of the stolen data. We know that Team Trump had many contacts with the Russians during the election. If you feel better about the fact that a hostile foreign power interfered in the U.S. election (to their benefit) because there's no proof of actual collusion, good for you.

The FBI confirms agents are executing a search warrant at an office of a GOP fundraiser/consulting firm in Annapolis, the 11 News I-Team has learned.


The investigation is being run out of Washington, not locally, the I-Team has learned.

The firm is touted for pioneering the use of technology in political campaigns, and it represents GOP candidates nationwide.

This is what Wired.com had to say about the group behind the DNC hack:

"They are capable of doing some of the most technically advanced computer network operations that FireEye sees anywhere in the world," say Chris Porter from security firm FireEye, which has been monitoring the group..."APT28 employs a suite of malware with features indicative of the group’s plans for continued operations, as well as the group’s access to resources and skilled developers," the report says. It details four characteristics of tools used in the attacks
launched by the Russian group: a flexible way of developing exploits, organising working environment to create zero-day attacks, conducting counter-analysis, and working during the Russian '9-5 hours'. Zero-days (CVE-2015-1701, CVE-2015-2424, CVE-2015-2590, CVE-2015-3043, CVE-2015-5119, and CVE-2015-7645) for Adobe Flash Player, Java, and Windows are linked to the group...Porter says ATP28 is able to operate at a large scale and has greater levels of preparation before attacks than state-sponsored Chinese hackers ("APT28 seems to have a pretty endless armoury of zero-days"). When asked for a potential number of people working under the banner, he was unwilling to commit to a figure..."They not only have keyboard operators (the hackers), but they have software development teams, they've also got teams that work with media operations and can do several operations concurrently." He adds: "This is not a small team."

The DNC hack was carried out by a large, organized group in Russia. It was not some "400 pound guy in his mom's basement".

Wired is a left leaning group that gets its information from sources all over the place, not all of them credible.

Back to topic, yes they are capable of much more than a simple Spearphishing campaign from a 120lb geek in his moms basement or some third rate hacker in Benin -BUT THAT IS WHAT PODESTA FELL FOR.

Which is why I pointed out, if you can see past the red in your subtle but very obvious rage, that there would be a lot more than what is out there.

So either be happy that was all they got from the DNC or be worried the worst has yet to come for HRC.

What do I want? I'll tell you. I want a president that will admit what happened. Will actual investigate what happened. And will, to the best of his ability, punish the offenders.

What we got was a president that will not only not admit what happened, wants to claim there were 3 million illegal votes causing him to lose the popular vote, as if that matters. We got a president that will not only not investigate, but is insisting there is nothing to investigate and, as we know now, firing anyone that will not toe the party line. And instead of punishing the offender, he's stroking up the flames of his bromance with him.

Got that? I doubt it.

Let me add a few things to my list.

I want a president that doesn't appoint a man to be AG that lied about his contact with the offender.

I want a president that doesn't have a secret meeting in the oval office with the man his lying AG met with.

Well you're not going to get what you want because it doesn't change anything at all, and isn't something you'd have gotten if Hillary had won. You don't even want a realistic thing because NO ONE in Washington, DC tells the truth (with the possible exception of Bernie, because what he thinks is so whacko that no one cares what he says). Even if they told the truth, you wouldn't believe it unless it matched your confirmation bias, making what you want doubly impossible. Your POTUS and every other POTUS before him has had the exact same types of appointments and the exact same types of secret meetings with the exact same types of people. Comey needed fired a LONG time ago, not because of investigating or not investigating the political target du jour, but because he's a rogue actor with serious God Complex issues.

What I want is people to be held accountable for their actions, but I'm not going to ask for it because I KNOW they'll never be held accountable! You don't hear me running around shouting "PROSECUTE HILLARY!" because it isn't going to happen. She sold the United States to the highest bidders and got away with it scot free.

When you pull your head out of your kiester and realize that what you want is utterly irrelevant, perhaps people will take you seriously. There aren't any unicorns, so you might as well stop wishing.
