Same as the others. Cash in hand for test ride, you break you buy, make that clear. Last bike I sold the guy didn't test ride it, didn't even start it. Met him at my bank, went in and got a bill of sale notorized and he gave me the cash. Then went out and took the bike straight from the back of my truck to the back of his truck.

that's crazy. Ive looked at too many vehicles that were "good to go" on the phone only to show up in person and they run like ****.

Late response but I've had personal experience with cash in hand before you ride. I sold a dirt bike and the guy put cash in my hand to test ride it. He made it 100 feet before he dumped it.

First check some of the dealer price lists and google prices for the bike to get an idea of what it's worth, then take it to a dealer
and see what they will give you. I sold mine that way and the dealer gave me about what I figured it was worth. It eliminates
the hassle of Craigslist and scammers etc.

Sold several through craigslist. The first guy came and I started it and he looked it over but didn't ride it, just paid the cash and put it into the bed of his truck. Another one I sold for my dad, an old goldwing. I let the guy ride it since he had an endorcement on his license and had driven down from Arkansas to buy it. It was slipping a bit in 3rd gear, full disclosure before he came down, so he wanted to see how bad. He bought it and put it in the bed of his truck and went on.

When I sold mine a few years ago was to a pretty young guy, no experience riding, so he watched me ride it around my block. He bought it and wrecked it a month later and called and wanted to sell it back to me for couple hundred less. You meet all the crazy people when you sell something on Craigslist
