Yes, hogs are very good. I just figured he would not want all the problems with hogs in his yard....well that and besides, watching a few rat terriers tearing up a snake is even more fun than watching lesbian mud wrestling. Oops, sorry if I offended anyone.

I've got a 5.5 ft snake hanging out around the house now for the 2nd year in a row. I've caught him and measured him a few times, and see him about once a week. He's a big bastard. I don't know what kind of snake he is, but as long as he behaves himself he can stay here as long as he wants. Of course, if I keep snatching him up, pestering him and measuring him he'll prolly just move on the the neighbors, who will prolly introduce him to a shovel. Which would be a shame. As big as he is it prolly takes a bunch of mice to keep him full.

Was at the range yesterday. Driving out, a bull snake was crossing the two track road. Stretched almost completely across at one time. Measured the road by stepping it off. It was 6 1/2', probably 2 1/2" in diameter. Biggest I've ever seen. He got down into the rip rap rocks beside the road before I could get the phone out to take a pic. Beautiful snake, and like you said, he eats a lot of mice and rats when they are that big. Good snake.
