104 mph winds and a tornado here. All is well at the farm though. Still out of power, but that is just fine. Tornado warning put the family in the safe room for about 10 minutes. The tornado track was south of Hulen, 4 miles north of Walters.

Glad it missed you. No damage from 104 mph wind? I've had less take down a cedar fence, send the patio furniture across the yard, and cause the dog to go MIA.

Wife and I went to a graduation in Stonewall tonight and just beat the storm that knocked down trees and power to parts of there and Ada. We've seen nothing but bands of rain but no wind or hail. Other have not been so lucky and to those, my prayers.

Wife is fearful of storms even though she's a native Okie. She's fearful but in bed asleep because she always ask me to stay up and watch the weather.
What the heck am I suppose to do? Rush in and tell her the roof is gone? Ha!
That's ok. My dad would do the same for my mom, starring at a blank tv even though the power had been out for hours.
I remember sneaking into the living room, find him asleep in his recliner, and I'd crawl up in his lap and we'd both sleep there till dawn. I was about 4 at the time but it's like it was yesterday.
Great memories. Odd how you think about them.

Thank you. Power back on as of about 12 mins ago. Drove the farm in my truck (yes, in 4x4) only damage was a run in was flipped, broken welds on anchors. I'll get that hooked up in the morning. Other than that lost a few shingles and cant find two of the LGDs, but they will come home, they always do. Hope everyone out there made it through safe and sound.

Same here. Wife is in bed. I'm required to stay up and watch the weather. Its not me she is worried about, its her dogs that must take shelter.
LOL.

I think my wife and your may be related.
Yup. I'm in second place. Well, maybe third. The bird nest just outside the back door on the utility meter has 5 baby's in it. She built a "fall out of the nest" safety net using a couple of lawn chair cushions because the wind was supposed to be really high and wanted them to have a soft place to fall.
