Current SOT holders will lobby against the change as it will decrease their margins on sales. Just as I would lobby against being able to order guns through the Manufacturers without an FFL. Just not going to happen

I still have my fingers crossed. They could easily make up the stamp revenue with another / higher excise tax.
There's too much politcal and financial investment in the NFA process to allow suppressors to be removed from the list. I would love it, though - after the two or three years of waiting for the back log to clear up once suppressors were removed and the sudden demand subsided, I'd buy a couple or three.
Booze is taxed, Cigarettes are taxed, and you don't have to go through the ATF to get it approved. If they want a 25% tax on cans, that's fine. Its still ridiculous to keep them on the NFA.
SBRs' too. As long as the overall length is longer than 26in, should be legal, with or without a stock. A m4 with a 11in barrel is over 26in with the stock yet its a NFA item because it has a stock and the barrel is under 16in, but the Tavor x95 is legal because it has a 16in barrel and is 26in overall in length. Pure dumbassery
Like a 14in barreled shotgun is not NFA if it doesn't have a stock, but is NFA if it has a stock. The NFA is so damn retarded

Don't forget vertical and angled foregrips. Put a vfg on an AR rifle, and it's fine. Put it on an AR pistol, and suddenly you've made an SBR.
But put an afg on the AR pistol? No problem.
The NFA was passed in 1934. I'm guessing the authors are all dead now, so let's have the NFA follow them.
