The fact that SOME people can't use common sense should never be used as an excuse refuse treatment to others who would benefit (or be responsible in their use thereof) a certain subject.

Add to that that the entire news media has turned into one gigantic tabloid paper and ... well ... there ya go.

The government needs to stay out of every business except for thou shalt not steal and thou shalt not murder, and leave feeding orphaned children, widows and the disabled to churches, imho.

That's great on paper. In real life it WILL spill over on to the roadways and workplaces. Life is messy.

I can't disagree. But just like was mentioned, drinking and driving is an everyday problem. So is being sober and playing on Facebook while driving.
You can't fix stupid no matter what, and just like alcohol, it should be consumed in a responsible manner. Are there going to be idiots who drive stoned and give a bad rap to those who just smoke to relax? Absolutely. Same with booze.

But a major difference here is marijuana, whether you want to admit it or not, is a proven aid in healthcare.

I don't care if people smoke it, or don't. I'll never do the stuff. I would actually vote to legalize all drugs if it were put on a ballot. Driving under the influence of anything would still be illegal. However the comment about someone not having first hand experience with something makes their opinion invalid is ridiculous. There are plenty of ways to learn about something without actually trying it. I've never done illicit drugs of any sort, but understand their dangers. I've never had my head run over by a truck, but I do understand the damage it could do. I've never driven a nail into my penis or raped a cat, but I know these things are inherently bad. Abstaining from drugs doesn't make your viewpoint invalid, and smoking the devils lettuce doesn't make you an authority on drugs.

14 years reliable service and CCing with my original S.A. XD sub 9mm and going on 2 now with my XD sub Mod.2. Not any problems period, ever. Ive never wanted one of the single stacks like the XDS so don't know anything about them, the XDM I bought one used here in full size and turned around and sold it the very same day, just didn't feel right compared to my sub. (Don't worry about my safety, I alternate with a G19 CC and have a 2nd gen customized G17 for target practice and HD that I bought from an older member here who shot comps with it.)







I guess I'll bite and chime in on the derail about marijuana. Medical or recreational, like bourbon, it aint for everybody. My mom is 75 when she was 55 and fighting cancer her first time I went to stay with her while she did chemo and she smoked some with me even tho it wasn't legal back then but it helped with her nausea. Afterwards she just doesn't speak of it and is not a fan of it, but she will say it worked for what she needed it for.

Myself, I have a red card for medical marijuana back home in CA for the pain of RA in my hands and knees- but its only good when I'm living there. Right now I'm in Colorado working where I also live part time and so I have to get it from shops that do rec and med since I haven't seen a Dr here for med. When Im in OK I just don't smoke it and my good ol Dr just loads me up on any pharmas I want that I gladly do not like to take when I'm not in OK. I don't drink much beyond a glass or two of my fave bourbon or a few shots of Jaeger here and there at the house or a beer or two when out. Never have smoked cigs or took any type of tobacco, never did illegal pharma drugs and nev er did any other drug like coke or crank besides some LSD and mushrooms in the summers when hanging out in the desert with friends in highschool in San Diego. Smoked a ton of pot in highschool and after. It was California, was kind of hard to avoid it.

When I get to CA or CO usually the first thing I do is hit a dispensary and get my 'medicine'. Pretty simple. Just like a pharmacist, the 'buddtender' you will personally talk to in the shop will talk with you to help you find a custom strain of flower, concentrate, edible, or canni pill just for your particular ailment or recreational choice. I usually go for an indica dominant strain to help relieve hand pain and swelling after hours of playing guitar or pushing buttons on a recording or sound board and also in my knees, plus it helps with sleep as I'm a life long insomniac. F Ambien and Xanax, been there done that and it was a nightmare. I like a hybrid-sativa dominant tho for energy and a great pickmeup, so I pick a fairly low THC level strain so I can get things done. #1, I don't drive when F'd up, same as with alcohol, until I feel I am safe. I have stuck with that and it works for me. I have friends to drive me or I call a service and get a black SUV to come drive me when I need to. Trust me, people who say you drive better on weed than alcohol theyre liars. Or theyre smoking mids or reggie. Straight up the strains I get are like drinking grain alcohol with coolaid. Aint safe.

Wanna see what it looks like from the dispensary for recreational? Just grabbed this this morning for an energy boost and a bit of pain management. (I got another strain for later this evening that is for pain and sleep called 'Gorilla Glue' that is super high in THC and CBD's, the CBDs being the active chem for your ailments and the THC the psychoactive chem for euphoria/pleasure, etc).
