Ok, we did water bath canning back in the day. What is the issue with pressure?
Temperature sterilizes the water. Pressurised water is much hotter than that and should result in zero issues with any bug.?
I'm still waiting on a link where that can be proven.
No to water bath canning for green beans. Pressure canning green beans is good to go.

Low acidic food (Ph of 4.6 or higher) have to be pressure canned. Green beans (and 99% of all veg) are low acid food so have to be pressure canned.

Yep, wife used to can and cook from scratch. Now, she says to much hassle.

We eat out a lot. If she sees this, my azz is in the doghouse:buttkick::rollingla. lmao

Haha! I'm with your wife. I don't eat out much anymore (that **** is poison). And after cooking every night for a family of 9 when I was a kid, then for my own kids in between working 2 and 3 jobs at a time, I'm done in the kitchen. I prefer to eat raw ... Or quick stuff -- like sauteed greens and pan-fried salmon. Or something like that.

Nowadays it's protein drinks and pureed soups. And I'm good with that. Because the prep is almost nothing -- and so is the clean-up.

If the Old Man wants something he can fix it (or go get it) himself. I clean up the mess he makes because if I don't the kitchen would be a SuperFund site (what passes for clean with you guys AMAZES me -- of course, it could just be because I'm an OCD germophobe, too ... Lol) ... It works for us.

OK now. When I was single, I had been to a lot of ladies residences, and have NEVER seen bathrooms so funky in my life. Just sayin...... LOL

Lmao! I hear ya. I'm even worse as a roommate because I don't "love you" enough to put up with that nasty-ass ****. I'm a little bit of a clutter bug but I'll be damned if there is any funk on my ****.

Couple of years ago I "bought into" the minimalist, ultra modern decorating style. Smartest thing I've ever done in my life. That "French Country, knicky knacky crap" was driving me stark raving mad.

Guess living out of the trunk of a car sounds SO liberating to me. Can you imagine?? A little kitchenette, maid service every day, just enough clothes to have one load off at the hotel laundry while you are sight-seeing and the rest hanging in a little bitty closet??

I'm seriously working on a plan to do this even if I don't win the lottery. I sure hope the Old Man wants to go with me. If he doesn't, he can stay here at the house and watch TV. Whatever makes him happy.

Didn't you and hubby like Whataburger? I still go once a week...

Oh hubby LOVES Whataburger. I can hardly stand the smell, much less the taste of that ****. Back before my surgery it was just easier to give in a lot of times.

Now that I don't hurt ALL. THE. TIME. I'll go out with him once a week wherever he wants. Funny thing is I only order a drink now. Couple of times we've been to Cracker Barrel (another place he likes that I think everything tastes like dog food) and tried the meatloaf and mashed potatoes, our chickens have eaten more of those meals than I have.

Really, I don't think there is a fast food place that can offer anything that tastes even remotely like food anymore. Too many fillers, preservatives and stuff. Sometimes I wonder how much of my headaches were from eating junk.

I know a lot of the problem was food-related because I felt a lot better after doing The Whole 30. Following that eating routine and finding out what my food sensitivities were helped some.

This fusion surgery solved the rest of my problem. I have had a handful of headaches since my surgery. I cant remember the last time I took a pain pill. I'm trying to shake off the gabapentin but that radiofrequency neurotomy they did that screwed up is still giving me some problems. Still going from 600mg 5 times a day, with a TON of other stuff, to 600mg morning and evening is a major improvement.

Hopefully in the next year or so that sensation will become manageable with OTC stuff -- or be gone completely.

I tell people I'm going through my first childhood!! Haha!

Yep!! Omg, I was the worst!! It takes me 2 hours, start to finish, to DEEP clean everything now. Before it would take me all week. Just to start over again on Sunday. Now if these critters we have (2 cats, 17 years old and 2 dogs, one almost 9, or 10, I forget, and the other about 3) would just die (God, that sounds awful because I really do adore them all) I could enjoy a little more freedom than I have EVER had. I could probably travel okay with Dawg. He's kinda smallish (50 pound Bassett mix) but poor Nero wouldn't like it at all. His hips are starting to bother him all the time and he's like the cats. He just wants to eat, sleep and be petted.

Cracker Barrel was bad the last few times we've eaten there. Also, Golden Corral has the worst food around. My DIL got food poisoning last time they ate there.
