Others believe the priority should be relocating the bison to ranches or tribal land. Alicyn Gitlin of the Sierra Club worries unsupervised hunters would drive the animals deeper into the canyon. “That would just be a mess, because they would be that much harder to round up and control,” she says.

Gitlin thinks the bison are basically stray livestock. Others, including hunters like Hogg, say they’re part of Arizona’s rich wildlife heritage. But they both agree on one thing. As Gitlin says, “It’s really heartbreaking to see what’s happening, and so we really need to manage these animals soon.”

Moving the cross breeds to another location just moves the problem. They need to be eliminated and pure strain bison inserted, then managed so they don't decimate the ecosystem.
I'd love to load the freezer with one, but it looks like they are wanting volunteers to shoot and then donate to someone else.
I'm sure this won't end this fall like they want. Tree huggers will keep this delayed in the courts for years.

" . . . so we really need to manage these animals soon.”

I always get a laugh when I hear these 'experts' or 'do gooders' say crap like this. People, animals on this good earth have been managing themselves for millions of years without your help, thank you very much.
