Ive got a German Luger that I got in a trade a few years ago. I’d like to find some information on it. It’s has byf on the slide, a four digit serial number and what looks like matching numbers on all but three parts. It also has an indentation in the left side that matches up really well with the nose of a 9mm bullet.

Also has a mark on the underside of the frame under thr barrel and what looks like the NAZI eagle in several places.

Pictures later.

The mismatched numbers hurt the value considerably but it is always a collectable piece. I would have it looked over good by a competent smith and shoot it. I'm curious about this indention. lugerforum.com is the go-to place for luger info.

Looks like the Nazi Eagle. No idea what the numbers mean.

Underside of the barrel. Serial number and 8.82 and something that looks like the capital letter “L” in cursive.

I tried to get the “L”, but the iPad camera wouldn’t show it.

Overall it looks beat up, but in working order. I have shot it and it shoots fine. The mag that came with it has a Nazi Eagle with the number 37 and near the base is another one with the number 122 above it.

I went over there and joined the site. Haven’t found anything yet.
