Spent Colombo day at the range. Decided to rezero my AR from 50 yds to 100 yds. Four power leupold scope pig plex with 5.56 ammo.
Took a few shots to get things moving and the wind was picking up, but got it down and put up a new target at the 100 and concentrated on trigger control. Great results for me.
Ended up shooting about 200 rounds and having a ball.
When I got home I checked the trigger pull on the Colt AR 6920 (with redneck pull gauge) and it came out to 6.2 lbs.
Think a lot of my control groups at distance, are caused by the factory mill trigger. Hope to see better (more consistent) results with a new 2 stage trigger.

I have a Geissele SSA on a Colt 6940. It's night and day difference. My factory Colt trigger was brutal.
Hard to get any consistency with the factory colt trigger. When I tested the pull, several times, the pull weight would vary.
Waiting for a sale on the Geissele 2 stage. I think it's the SAE.
What weight do you think the first and second stage is on yours?

Screw it. Nice day so I grabbed a box of 50 115 gr. 9mm.
Springfield 1911 at 10 yards. Not great but it felt good even if it was just a few minutes of fun. Seem to be stringing my hits high but, like I said, loved it.

Great day at the ada range 10/14/17.
Windy as heck blowing at 15 to 17 mph (felt stronger at times).
Set up my Ruger 6.5 creedmoor at 100 yards. Shooting the Winchester 125 grain. Put 20 rounds through and the first picture is the result. Had been shooting the 140 grain but liked the results from the 125. With the wind, and my limited ability, I'm very happy with the results.
Second pic is my Colt 6920 (at 100 yards as well) shooting the American Eagle 55 grain. 4x pig plex leupold. Shot 30 rounds here. I expect the new Geissele trigger will make these groups tighter. I'll see if I want to keep shooting distance/accuracy and if I do, I may go with a different scope and a different reticle.
Anyway it was a great day and now the dog and I are comfortably in my recliner watching OU/TX.
