going to be buying my first transferable pretty quick and cannot decide between a m11/9 or Reising, the m11 is appealing because the lage uppers but there's something sexy about a reising to me as well. Any input is appreciated

Parts, accesories and magazine availability would make the M11/9 far more desirable. I had an M11/9 with Lage upper. It was a fun little gun.

Yes, do some research before you buy. Most of the transferable full autos have limited availability for parts and magazines. Both of the choices you listed are no longer made, so having a source for parts and mags is a must. If and when you do find parts, prepare to pay dearly.

There are plenty of parts available for the M11. My FFL has mine...waiting on tax stamp!! The Reising not so much and they have a bad record for jamming etc if they get dirty.
I also got a 22 LR upper for my M11, have it in hand now. Have had a lot of people tell me they have had trouble with those but we will see hopefully soon. I really wanted 1928 A1 but just couldn't budget it. You might also look at Stemple guns http://www.brpguns.com/

The Cobray M11/9 was mass produced in 1985/ 86 for public consumption so it gets my vote. M11 main problems are factory zytel mags because they tend to split quickly and the OEM buffers. Since I haven't owned any WW autos, the Reising's only look cool to me.
