Sounded totally bogus from the get-go. So now where are the charges against the accuser?

False reporting of a crime does carry consequences. The news on Chan 5 tonight did bring up that charges had not been brought to the accuser yet, but we're not out of the question.
I hope they throw the book at her and anybody else that makes false accusations that could ruin somebodies lives.

Just reading the D.A's press release it seemed pretty much a woman scorned type thing. Maybe one of our forum lawyers can explain why they could not prove she lied.

Her own friends disputed the story she presented. Slam dunk false accusation.
What amazes me is the people on this forum that wanted to kick him off the team immediately after hearing the initial accusations with no actual proof by the accuser. Only a she said/he said.
The same thing is going on across the nation right now. Some richly deserved with proof in pictures and witnesses, and a whole lot of unsubstantiated accusations.

Seems pretty slam dunk to me as well! I do not pretend to understand why the DA would not pursue charges.

If they would prosecute a couple or few of these women the next would think twice before doing so without proof

Because DAs are elected officials. They tend to not want to do things based on how their actions will affect their political careers.
