I'll be visiting Oklahoma and will have an occasion to attend a memorial service in a church. My carry license is recognized as a reciprocal license in Oklahoma. Is concealed carry allowed in Oklahoma churches? Thanks for the help.

In Oklahoma it's not a violation of the law to carry into a place that has a no gun policy.
If they see you carrying, and you refuse to leave after being asked to leave the property, you can be charged with a misdemeanor for trespass.
If you leave after being asked to, there is no violation under Oklahoma law.

THIS, I'm an usher at my church. Guess they could ask me to leave when I'm passing the pot. They just recently, since the last shooting, have a OK county sheriff deputy there every Sunday
Don't tell but don't print out of respect. Please don't rip me for that. Our church has carry people designated and some just conceal carry.

I see your from Texas where the 30-06 law carries weight and penalties for carrying in places posted for no carry.
Its good to check like you did in other states one is visiting.
Church carry laws vary widely from state to state. as do laws about carry on private property.
In Oklahoma, churches are considered private property unless you are going to church at a military base chapel.
My favorite preacher shoots our IDPA matches and only asks we keep it well concealed at church out of courtesy to others.

My preacher is a lifetime NRA member and totes a J frame whilst in the pulpit. There is also two other men besides me that carry in church. One is a LEO and the other is the county commisioner.
