If only they’d make a revolver with a rimmed cartridge like this, only maybe a tad bigger in dia., and have it throw 200 or so grain bullets at 1600fps or so..

Fear not because they do! It's called the .41 Magnum. Lots of older pre-zit, forged internal S&Ws out there not to mention Rugers.

Here is a link to the loader I mentioned in the OP. It isn't cheap, but it is slicker than snot on a doorknob.

The demo of the loader starts about 3:45 into the video. It takes a while to get the hang of using it, but once you do, it is very fast.

Also just to make clear, the 610 in the OP photo is not mine, but was taken from the Internet Movie Firearms Database. Also it is mentioned in my next story.

THAT my friend is slick as owl ****. I dont have a pistol that uses moon clips...but dang thats cool.

Very nice revolver. I bet that thing does speak with authority. But carry it? As in a CCW Gun? Nah... I’m gonna have to pass. Isn’t it interesting when you think about the wide range of revolvers S&W makes? I mean like...compare a little Airweight J frame to this beast.

The 610 will also shoot 40 S&W for those days when you're short on band-aids.
Weather permitting, I'll shoot it tomorrow. I just loaded 50 moon clips with a mild & mellow handload that as I recall, is very light in the recoil department. I'll still put a bandaid on my finger though.
