Looking to finally get my first suppressor since I set up a trust with my brother. I want something that will get my 5.56 AR’s and my .308 18” M5 to reasonable sound levels. The ones I’m looking at are the sandman S/L from Dead Air and the SD/SD-N from AAC. Anyone have experience with these? Obviously AAC will save me some money but Dead Air’s locking system appears to be superior, especially if you plan to slide it under a rail. Any input is greatly appreciated since I’m new to this market.

I actually received better customer service from AAC after the Freedom Group buyout. Previously, I was told "sorry can't help you with that". On my last attempt I received a replacement no questions asked.

With that said, I am waiting on a Dead Air can to clear ATF.

Dead Air is superior to AAC in build materials and mounting. Also take a look at the Silencerco Saker line.

AAC is part of Freedom group last I heard so beware of that.

It’s much cheaper and easier to replace **** with ****.
