Could this be why all the players stood for the national anthem at the super bowl?

Edwin Jackson, Indianapolis Colts linebacker, was killed by an illegal immigrant, police say

Indiana State Police say Manuel Orrego-Savala, left, is from Guatemala and currently is in the U.S. illegally. Orrego-Savala was identified as the driver of a truck that struck and killed Indianapolis Colts linebacker Edwin Jackson and another man on Super Bowl Sunday. (Indiana State Police/AP)

The suspected drunk driver who killed Indianapolis Colts linebacker Edwin Jackson in a crash on the morning of the Super Bowl is a Guatemalan citizen who is in the U.S. illegally and has been deported twice, police revealed Monday.

Indiana State Police identified the driver of an F-150 truck in the incident as Manuel Orrego-Savala, 37, who had been deported in 2007 and 2009.

“State police investigators are working with U.S. Federal Immigration Officials and they have placed a hold on Orrego-Savala,” police said in a statement.

Jackson, 26, and Jeffrey Monroe, 54, also in his vehicle, were hit and killed around 4 a.m. on Sunday on Interstate 70 in Indiana.

Investigators believe Monroe was Jackson’s Uber driver and Jackson was the passenger, FOX59 reported. The station said at some point during the ride Jackson became sick, and the pair were hit on the emergency shoulder of the highway after Monroe pulled over.

A state trooper who responded to the crash also struck the body of one of the victims in the center lane when he slowed his cruiser down to investigate, according to FOX59.

Orrego-Savala fled the scene but was arrested shortly thereafter by the responding officer. He then gave police the alias of Alex Cabrera Gonsales. Jail records viewed by Fox News on Monday morning said Orrego-Savala, under the alias of Gonsales, was driving without a license.

Orrego-Savala's blood alcohol level was 0.239 at the time of the crash — three times the legal limit — The Indianapolis Star reported, citing a probable cause affidavit. Drivers in Indiana are presumed intoxicated with a 0.08 percent blood alcohol level.

Vice President Mike Pence tweeted about Jackson's "senseless & avoidable" death on Monday evening, calling it a "tragedy."

"I was very saddened to hear of the passing of Indianapolis @Colts linebacker Edwin Jackson," Pence said. "This is a great loss for the entire Indiana community. My prayers are with his family in their time of grief."
The loss of life at the hands of illegal immigrant criminals should make all Hoosiers sad and ultimately angry," Rep. Todd Rokita, R-Ind., said in a statement. "We must do more to get these dangerous illegal immigrant criminals off of our streets, and guarantee this never happens again by building a wall, ending sanctuary cities, and stopping illegal immigration once and for all."

It was not immediately clear when Orrego-Savala re-entered the U.S. after being deported in 2009. But Indiana State Police Sgt. John Perrine told Fox News that Orrego-Savala has used the Gonsales alias enough times "to create a paper trail."

Orrego-Savala is currently being held at the Marion County Jail and police say they are working to file criminal charges.

You guys know who I find at fault for all the illegals in this country, and the guy that wanted them to "Brown up America" is most loved by people such as this NFL player. If we were to continue the policies of past years, we will have literally no country other than name in a few short decades. The illegals hear of the benefits (entitlements) and freebies in the United States and that is the primary reason they sneak across our borders in the darkness of night. No other reason, not to better themselves, not to obtain an education to enable them to have a good job, be good people or to change old habits. They come in with no marketable skills, have nothing to add to the country but demand their rights and privileges under our Constitution. And we that work have the privilege to provide for them whether they are on the streets or in prisons. And they murder, rape and create problems for our society. Do I sound bitter or angry? Not really, but I look toward the future and it is ominous to a great degree if this mass migration isn't stopped. Now I feel more better!

After the ENS in Mustang, I thought I could get around an accident on the road that had traffic backed up by turning on SW 29th and going west. In about three blocks, I thought I was magically transported to the barrios of Mexico city. All signs were in spanish, all businesses were in spanish, dirty, and trash everywhere.
That's not coming to the US to better themselves and assimilate into the population, its just bringing their society to our country to escape theirs.

This is the sad reality of today. A bunch of loser criminals from south of the border. I guarantee that a majority of the ones that come here from the south don’t come here to better themselves. It’s like what was said in an earlier post. These people come here for the benefits they can get. They don’t come here because they love America and want to be free. They only come for the freebies. And for some dang reason we can’t put a stop to it. It’s not that hard to figure out. But what do we expect from a bunch of idiots in our government? One thing that really pisses me off is when I see a Mexican driving around with a Mexican flag on their bumper or on a tag. And I’m sure they probably live in government housing and are on food stamps. Yet they want to act like they are so proud of Mexico. If it’s so great then go back. When these people become citizens it should be mandatory that they speak English and also have the ability to read and understand it. I e shouldn’t be catering to them by making signs in Spanish and making us press a certain number for English. It’s ridiculous. If they come here and can’t read, write and speak English then go right back where you came from.
