I’m in Stephens county and they’re thick here and I have noticed a decrease in the amount of deer I’d see while in the stand. Not nearly as many as the last couple seasons. And obviously the quality has decreased. Every land owner complains about them and but won’t let anyone hunt them. Seems like a win win for both landowners and hunters. Obviously if both are responsible and respectful of course.

Many of the rancher type's seem to think that folks will go in and kill their livestock, invite others and trash their land. I don't know where they get these ideas but that's their usual excuses for not letting people hunt their hogs.

I saw 10 hogs on the back side of a field about 2 miles west of my place at about 4:00 the other day when the wife and I were going in to town to eat. I have killed 2 on my place.
At one time hogs had tore up one side of one of my ponds on the back side of my property, had to go in with tractor and level it all back up.
I have been checking for sign here lately in the bottoms and down by the watershed but have not seen anything lately but im sure its just a matter of time before the hogs get back around.

You do have a lot of hogs, it is so close to OKC/Edmond it would be really convenient if I lived there. Even Stillwater isn't that far away.
People would be surprised how thick hogs are in some areas, yet they'll almost never see them. I know they're holed up about 2 miles from my house and have seen plenty around there, but none at my house, yet.

Hog hunting is fun, until they start pushing your deer out or nocturnal. Some does don't seem to mind them much, but they sure as hell affect the bucks from my experiences

As a landowner, I know where they get their ideas. Trust me.

All correct by my experience as a landowner as well. Not really an excuse, just how they feel about their land.
