you would think that people wouldn't open packages they were not expecting after the UniBomber

Huh?? How many would even know of the Unibomber? But, if they knew of him, would they have really thought it could happen to them. That was so long ago, it would have easily been forgotten.

Huhhh!!!! Those aren't bombs. And, how many of those anthrax packages and letters were delivered in Austin?

Further, how may in Austin are really keeping up with the news in other cities?

Let me spell it out. Dont open suspicious packages. IE ones you were not expecting
Duh. Also, the contaminated packages were national news. And, also, DUH! Gee, we worry about suspicious packages at the airport, and everywhere else, and "if you see something, say something," but an unexpected package from nobody I know shows up on my door? Sounds legit!

there was a story recently about a couple who have somehow ended up on an amazon 'list' whereby people purchase cheap items and send them to this one family (who don't have anything to do with the purchase). The reason is that the folks who initiate the purchase can then go on and leave positive feedback for the product as a 'verified purchase'. Basically this couple keeps getting random boxes of stuff they never ordered from amazon.
