I have tried a few different pistols with red dots, to include this nicely done G19 of steelfingers, and am glad I did! I found out that the “dot” looks like a big fuzzy ball out there for me; guess my eyes just need to be “adjusted” and not the red dot sight. Anyway, I couldn’t hit crap with the ones I gave a try. Now I’ve shot rifles with a dot sight, and they were fine. It’s just that my arms need to be a foot longer if I’m trying to shoot a pistol with a dot sight. In other words, red dots on a pistol are apparently not for me.

I heard green is easier to see. Haven't tried either one myself, though.

Same problem until I got a lenses adjusted for shooting

I need to do this, and see if that works for me before I go and spend good money on a red dot. I'm glad I got to try a few and "see" that it was a no-go for me. I was about to go buy one! I tried my reading glasses on too; but it was still a big fuzzy ball.

SF: If you see this, please bring that G19 to the ENS and I'll bring a couple of different pairs of reading glasses along and check it out. I might get lucky...as if.
