To Boulder’s anti-gun bigots, I will not comply with your hate law

..."Should this ordinance pass, it will require me to permanently move my guns out of Boulder. What a spectacularly privileged, Boulderesque idea. Only in Boulder and Aspen is there an assumption that you’re wealthy enough to have a second home or storage in another city.

You can’t keep your soon-to-be-illegal guns at a friend’s house in another city either. The new 2013 anti-gun state laws say you can only do that for three days before you’ll both be criminals."...

Subscription only, but I get the gist of the story.
Welcome to the kommifornika residents that fled their bastion of anti 2A and moved to a gun friendly state only to make it just like the hellhole they left.
They ruined Oregon, moved on to Colorado, and they are moving to Texas.
I realize there are gun folks in that hellhole, but its the majority that rules it, and conditions the minds of the unknowing to pass laws on the minority.

When Colorado first passed the mag limits legislation they would sell the bodies and springs separate as parts kits to skirt the law. They don't even bother with that anymore. Nobody cares and nobody obeys it.

There goes the Ruger 10-22 and some Marlins.
"All semiautomatic rifles that have the capacity to accept a detachable magazine and that have any of the following characteristics: a pistol grip or thumbhole stock; a folding or telescoping stock; or any protruding grip or other device to allow the weapon to be stabilized with the non-trigger hand."

I was erroneously thinking that maybe Weaver was pro-gun. I just found that Weaver(D) is not pro-gun

Boulder City Council passes gun ban on first reading
April 7, 2018 By Sherrie Peif

..."“The city attorney’s point of view that any gun that doesn’t have a pistol grip but just has some kind of protrusion on the stock turns this into a very, very broad ban,” (David) Kopel * said, also encouraging them to ask about other features that make it illegal. “If two people own a gun and one is 5-foot-2 and the other is 6-foot-4 the stock can be adjusted so it’s a better fit for the user. It is hard to see how that does not violate the constitutional right to arms to say that a gun because it fits better becomes more unconstitutional, and I think the same can be said about many of the other features on the list.”

Kopel, who is considered one of the foremost authorities on the Second Amendment, has written more than a dozen books on the subject. Still, Councilman Sam Weaver challenged Kopel because of his affiliation with the Independence Institute and the National Rifle Association."...

*David Kopel - Constitutional Law professor at the University of Denver’s Sturm College of Law and Independence Institute Research Director

ALSO

..."Grano said she found it interesting that many of the people who spoke against the ban were from unincorporated Boulder County. She did not point out, however, that many of the gun-ban supporters were not only from outside Boulder city limits but also outside Boulder County. Some of the gun control proponents who spoke travel from one public meeting to another reading letters from family members of Sandy Hook Elementary School, victims and survivors of Columbine High School and Aurora movie theater victims and survivors."...
