Woodward County fire done for the most part, days worth of mop up still. Had these two birds around us for a couple hours this afternoon. Lot's houses saved, some lost though. Lot's cattle lost. Dewey County fire is crazy fire.

Very eventful day near Rhea for us. One of our pastures burned but we were able to get in and move the cattle to safety right before the fire got there. Many other people weren’t so lucky. The fires were popping up all over the place and spread extremely quickly. Got some more pictures today.

Lots of personal loss in that area that really sucks.
A good thing is that the eastern red cedars took a hit, and with some rain, the grass will be be growing quickly.

Rain's coming late week.

For all on the board: My SIL's mother lost her mother's house, the one where she grew up. She still knows people in the area and has some family up there. Lots of livestock lost and those that made it need hay, so if you can help please do so. Lot's of folks up there are hurting. Prayers for all affected.

When our crew was leaving early this morning there were two semis loaded with hay already, that was near Putnam. Which fire was you SIL's family in ? We talked to more than one person in both Woodward and Dewey counties who lost everything.....cattle, hay, homes, equipment, vehicles. Talked to an older guy who lost over two hundred head of cattle, had to put down over three dozen himself.

Yeah, it sucks. With the freeze coming tonight and what happened last night, the wheat crop is probably ruined. Nothing to do but make hay out of it next month when the heads develop. People are scrambling for hay now.

Thats horrible for some. My uncle couldn't put one down, he would always call me to get it done. Nobody likes to see an animal suffering.

She's from close to Woodward. Not sure of exact locale. Some of the facebook posts she's shared are just heartbreaking.
