Does anyone on here reload for this overlooked and under appreciated (in my view) round? Just curious, since there isn’t a great amount of load data out there for it. Here is a pic of my first effort with a set of .45 acp dies. Factory on the left, reload on right..

I reload for it. Most of the powder load data I’ve found is almost identical to 45 ACP. I never load to maximum on anything I reload and I’ve never had any problems.

Seems odd given the lower capacity of case volume.
I'd stay at the lowest end and chrono to make sure it's not too much.

If you want to chrono sometime, let me know and I'll bring mine to the range.

Whenever you want to get together, we can set it up and see the results. I have both reloads and factory rounds that we can compare.

According to the articles I’ve read, the brass has a thicker base and can sustain higher pressures. Factory loads are supposed to be in the 45 ACP+P velocity range.

I have a chrono that doesn't get used much, so maybe Monday if you're free.
